Identity of descendants growing up in the environment of the Vietnamese and Ukrainian minority in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis focuses on members of the Ukrainian and Vietnamese minorities in the Czech Republic. Initially, it deals with the outline of general information about the mentioned minorities, their history within the Czech social environment and socio-cultural aspects. The central issue of the thesis lies in the description of the identity of the descendants of migrants who grew up in a culturally inhomogeneous environment. The aim of the thesis is to describe the aspects involved in the process of identity formation of these children, taking into account general information about identity, the social and cultural elements typical for defined minorities. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part presents basic information about the Vietnamese and Ukrainians in the Czech Republic, describes the historical circumstances of their arrival in the Czech Republic, defines the basic concepts and attitudes that are further worked within the thesis, elaborates the concept of identity within the appropriate limits for the stated goal. The practical part is based on qualitative research using the technique of structured interviews withseveral members out of the researched groups. The aim of the research is to analyse and then compare the statements of respondents on the topic of their identity.
Leisure activities of the Vietnamese community: Generational change of concepts and ways of spending leisure time

The thesis deals mainly with the study of ways of spending leisure time of Vietnamese, as well as the conditions of Vietnamese arrival in the Czech Republic, historical events associated with it, the language situation, culture and lifestyle. The main aim of the work was to compare the results of a research survey of a part of the Vietnamese community living in the city of Milevsko with theoretical knowledge. Vietnamese respondents in the adult age category and the children and youth category were subjected to the research survey. The first chapter is devoted to the history and conditions of Vietnamese arrival in the Czech Republic. The second chapter deals with the Vietnamese language and writing, the acquisition of the Czech language by the Vietnamese and the language situation of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. The third chapter focuses on family, intergenerational and interpersonal relationships, education, Vietnamese cuisine, religion, Vietnamese holidays and celebrations, behaviour and character traits, and the clan community. The fourth chapter deals with the lifestyle and leisure time of Vietnamese living in our country and Vietnamese living in Vietnam. The fifth chapter is devoted to the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic itself. The last sixth chapter contains its own research and following discussion. It was found that Vietnamese respondents living in the city of Milevsko basically do not spend their free time differently than other Czechs. Family and health play a vital role in the lives of all Vietnamese. They also attach high value to education and work, which is subsequently reflected in the way they spend their leisure time.
Establishing an online clothing store

The aim of the bachelors thesis is to create a business plan for establishing an online clothing store and based on the business plan, it will be decided whether it is possible to implement the idea in the reality. The online store would especially target a specific group of customers, who are the Vietnamese living in the Czech republic.  In the theoretical part, the basic business terms and principles for creating a business plan are defined. Moreover it also explains the online stores creation, core of the business and promotion. The practical part contains the business plan including the Lean Canvas model. The business plan is mainly oriented on problems and needs of potencial customers. For that matter, a specific market research has been carried out and is also included in this document.

Firstly, the aim of this Bachelors thesis is to create a business plan for unification of Vietnamese minimarkets in the Czech Republic by a web application. The goal of the unification is to create a shopping union and then a retail chain. Secondly, it is necessary to define conditions for successful realization and to answer research questions. After the introduction, two main parts of the work follow. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts in the business, the key legal forms of the company and all the necessary points which are needed for making a business plan. The second part is a practical application of theoretical knowledge and contains a real business plan to create a locator of Vietnamese minimarkets. In the business plan, the main focus is on the creation of a viable business, a description of the business opportunities, the objectives of the company and the owners, the company strategy, the market analysis, the marketing strategy, the implementation plan, the identification of the risks, etc. The ending of the Bachelors thesis contains answers to the research questions and summarizes the conditions of the successful realization of the business.
Integration of the Vietnamese in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the integration of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic which has its specifics and significantly differs from the integration of other foreigners living in the Czech Republic. The characteristics of the Vietnamese community are for example the high percentage of those who live here on the permanent residence permit, then very low unemployment and at last the majority of the community is doing their own business on the trade licence. The other important part is the issue of the acquisition of knowledge of the Czech language. Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic with the focus on Ústí nad Labem region and Karlovy Vary region

This diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of both demographic and socioeconomic development of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic with the focus on Karlovy Vary region and Ústí nad Labem region based on the available data. This study is composed of two basic sections, which present theoretic aspects and analysis. The first section explains basic terms, theories, history of Vietnamese migration, changes in the motives of migration and the laws that affect foreigners. This part of the thesis also describes changes in the law that affected the sources of the data and their consistency. The second part presents demographic analysis and comparison of the development of the foreigners and the Vietnamese population. On the basis of the result of my analysis the study also includes their estimated future development, which was assessed using trend functions. This thesis is aimed at evaluating the applicability of some of the migration theories on Vietnamese community. Lastly, the study describes the characteristics and socioeconomic activities of the Vietnamese community in Ústi nad Labem and Karlovy Vary region.
Vietnamese in Czech Republic and their position in the Czech labor market

The main subject of this bachelor thesis are Vietnamese citizens living and working in the Czech Republic and their position in the Czech labor market. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the history and culture of the Vietnam nation. In the second part the incentives of migration from Vietnam to the Czech Republic are described. The final part discusses several specific Vietnamese people currently staying and working in the Czech Republic. The thesis also mentions vasrious statistical data calculating the numbers of Vietnamese citizens living here. It alsodiscloses their employment rate and the percentage of entrepreneurs. To better comprehend the specifications of Vietnamese community in the country, the thesis also presents various stories of a few individuals from this particular community who have decided to settle permanently in the Czech Republic.
Tourism for Minorities Living in the Czech Republic

The main aim of the thesis is to investigate the function of the tourism market for the selected minority living in the Czech Republic, which is the Vietnamese minority. Based on field research to prepare an adequate product and find out the possibility of further tourism development for the minority. The thesis analyzes this particular minority, which is a very close-knit community. However, it would be an exaggeration to say that the Vietnamese community is entirely closed to the outside world when it comes to traveling. In the last chapter through a personal questioning was prepared sample suitable product innovation.
The integration of Vietnamese comunity in České Budějovice

The aim of my bachelor´s work is to map the experience with the integration of migrants into the society ? of chosen group of Vietnamese inhabitants living in České Budějovice by the qualitative research and find out whether these people have met with some forms of to rasism, dicrimination or xenophobia. The theoretical part of my work sets and describes the situation of Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. It generally acquaints with problems of Vietnamese community in the major society. The practical part of my work is concentrated on individual persons of relevant Vietnamese community in České Budějovice. The research is made by the qualitative research strategy. Making the conversation I used the method of phenomenological talk with the respondents of the selective complex. The aim was to find out what problems are Vietnamese people meeting during their integration process into the society in the town of České Budějovice. The suppositional use in practise is making the document of information about this topic. The information can be used by the social department at the work with Vietnamese community in town.
